Not long ago, our
grandmothers used only one remedy for washing dishes and clothes and that was
the well-known soap. Perhaps this
is a universal remedy which is not as well managed with its responsibilities.
But the damage from it was minimal. Over the years, we gradually got used to
the comforts of life and have become more demanding. The powder was used for cleaning of
any dirt and detergents for dishes were made not only to cope with the fat, but
also to protect your hands from dryness. In fact the quality of household today
has become much higher.
Labels powder and other cleaning products are full
of intricate "active formula" and other chemical additives that
destroy the dirt on the spot. However, along with the dirt, our
health is also slowly destroyed. Doctors are sounding the alarm bell
and an increase in the number of allergies, skin and respiratory diseases that are
directly linked to the chemical additives included in the cleaning products we
use. Almost all detergents or washing powders
contain special components called surface-active agents or surfactants. Surfactants
are actively fighting the mud, literally pulling it out of fabric, but at the
same time, they are also the cause of many diseases.
It is noted that the surfactant can
accumulate in cell membranes, thus they violate the integrity of the cells, as
well as slow down the metabolic processes. In
this regard, many scientists believe that the surfactant can cause the
accumulation of excess weight, getting rid of which is not so easy. In
addition, the detergent powders contain toxic substances such as formaldehyde
and chlorine. These substances
can cause allergic reactions and respiratory diseases. It is noted that even after the wash harmful
chemicals remain on clothes and slowly poison your body. Did you know that in the case of dish washing detergents, the
detergent is completely washed out of the dishes?
A certain amount of active
ingredients of detergents is delayed in the tiny pores on our plates, mugs and
other dishes. Therefore, along with the food you also eat those active
ingredients of detergents and quite often harmful chemical products. Just like laundry
detergents, dishwashing detergent surfactants include the notorious ingredients. In addition, they include
polyphosphates, synthetic dyes, fragrances, propylene glycol and other
chemicals, which slowly incapacitate the functioning of our internal organs, in
the first place - the gastro-intestinal tract. In cleaning the surfaces, virtually
all cleaning agents that are used to clean the surfaces of glasses, mirrors,
ceramics including toilets and bath rooms contain a caustic substance, disinfectants
and antibacterial components.
Phenolic compounds and krezolnye may
provoke gastrointestinal disorders, and kidney disease. In addition, frequent use of disinfectants will
eventually lead to the fact that your house will only settle with more and more
aggressive microorganisms. And in the window cleaners, there is a toxic alcohol
called ‘isopropanol’, which is toxic to the liver, is an irritant to the skin,
and harms the gastrointestinal tract, nervous system and kidneys. We should
also be aware about aerosols used in the air fresheners in our bathrooms. They contain sodium nitrite and
benzoate, which can cause cirrhosis of the liver, Parkinson's and even anemia!
In addition, each injection of aerosol into the atmosphere
becomes a contribution to the ongoing process of increasing the ozone holes in
the atmosphere. Almost certainly no one
will be pleased by the above cleanliness. The
question arises: what can we do? Here, incidentally, it is appropriate to once
again go back to the basics, and apply the 'old women’s' recipes for
maintaining the overall cleanliness in the house. Thank God, the soap is still sold in
our markets.
Detergents for washing dishes can be replaced
with soap and water. Windows can be simply wiped with a damp cloth, and water
stains can be removed in the well-known old-fashioned way - paper or other thin
paper. And for washing, you can use natural powders whose composition does not
include surfactants and other components that are harmful to the body. A toilet and bath can be cleaned with
regular soda.
