According to a study conducted on a school security administration, over eighty percent of school administrators indicated that their schools should continue not to allow mobile phones in school. It is opposing the use since they think that mobile phones are a disturbance to the school surroundings. For instance, there have been instances when students used the mobile phones to disturb the classes either by playing games or by making prank calls to one another.
Educational institutions are also concerned about the fact that mobile phones can be used to cheat in exams or bully other people. Conflicts may also occur due to social media chitchat as well as texting matters. There have been cases when alarms of panic in schools were caused by these gimmicks. Circulating rumors or photos taken from places like locker ways and bathrooms can also be a serious trouble.
Therefore, parents and school communities continue to lobby and oppose restrictive policies on mobile phone use. Pupils can call parents in for class schedule changes, serious situation, illnesses and other reasons. A lot of parents feel that schools should maintain a proper check and only allow students to use the phones out of doors of the classes. Mobile phones can always be shut during classes or periods and activated in suitable situations.
There are schools that take away the mobile phones for the entire year if one is seen texting in the class. A number of parents feel this is too severe. There are also school problems where students bring arms to schools. This may lead to fear and students often contact their parents utilizing texting to deal with their own fears and anxieties. Whenever the school is facing some problem, parents prefer to speak with their kids or to be capable to text.
