How to Get Rid of Examination Tension


The fears about examinations are almost always common among children. Due to the fear of examination, the hormones in the body will create tension in their mind. Exam tension that causes fear is revealed in many ways like forgetfulness, fatigue, depression and nervousness. Studying for more hours and not getting enough sleep and nutritious food often leads to forgetting everything a student has studied.  So you have to know the ways to exit from such an exam tension.

Fear causes stress in children.  Despite the desire to obtain a high score, because of the doubt "can I", children often get affected by mental tension with negative thoughts and loss of confidence. Extreme expectations of parents towards their children force them to become stressed. Because of such disturbances that haunt children, they are unable to study anything with full involvement. Even if they have studied well, they find it difficult to recollect and write.

So parents need to talk in terms of confidence with their children. They must create a trusted environment for them. Besides consulting the teacher and a psychiatrist, if parents also indicate about future aim then the children can get ready for examinations without any confusion. If parents ignore their children's examination fear then they may exhibit depression and irritation. Remaining disinterested in daily activities like eating, suffering from insomnia, back pain and headache is a possible outcome.

Problems like muscle tension, negligence, palpitations, diarrhea, loss of interest in studies may also arise. Without any nutritious food the body may become weak and the body's immunity may also come down. Parents should help their children in ensuring that they go to sleep in time and also take nutritious foods. If the fear of examination rises in their children's mind then it will be better to consult a psychologist.
